Zinaida Popa is a psychologist and politician from the Republic of Moldova, General Director of the International Exhibition Centre „Moldexpo” S.A. and Chair of the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) faction in the Chișinău Municipal Council (CMC).
With studies in psychology and economics, she built her career at the intersection of human development and public administration. Before entering politics, she worked as a psychologist and psychotherapist at child development centres in Chișinău, while also providing individual therapy services for adults and couples.
Her public engagement began in 2019, when she was elected municipal councillor in the CMC on the lists of the „ACUM Platforma DA și PAS” electoral bloc. She ran in the 2021 parliamentary elections on the PAS lists and entered the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, but chose to return to the CMC to continue her work in the capital — first as vice-chair, later as chair of the PAS faction.
In February 2024, she took over as interim General Director of C.I.E. „Moldexpo”, and in September 2025, after a three-stage public competition, she was named the winner with a score of 8.98 out of 10 and confirmed as General Director.
