Interview: Moldexpo modernisation plan 2026–2028

On the “Economic Agenda” programme aired in May 2026, C.I.E. “Moldexpo” General Director Zinaida Popa presented the exhibition centre’s transformation plan for the next two years. The discussion covered investment priorities, digitisation of exhibitor services, and targets for growing regional visitor traffic.

The General Director explained how the 2025 public competition strengthened corporate governance at Moldexpo and paved the way for structural projects: modernising the central pavilion, expanding conference spaces, and creating a permanent hub for entrepreneurs. Estimates suggest the plan could increase the number of international events hosted annually by over 30%.

In the interview, Zinaida Popa highlighted the link between her work in the Chișinău Municipal Council and managing a strategically important company: “Moldexpo is a capital asset. Modernising it means more jobs, more investors, and a stronger presence for Moldova on the European fair map.”
